Chamonix Chalets

Oozing ski history and colourful Alpine tradition, Chamonix is a very special place, whether you are a fanatic skier or boarder looking to notch up one of the all-time great names in world skiing, or are simply seeking an atmospheric resort full of life and character.

Historic buildings cluster around the cobbled squares and winding traffic-free streets, which host countless lively bars, bistros and restaurants.

The legendary skiing is a perfect match for this exceptional resort. Infinitely varied runs meander through soaring peaks and tumbling glaciers, all capped by the majestic backdrop of beautiful Mont Blanc and the tempting challenge of the Vallée Blanche off-piste tour, whose start is pictured here.

Generally snow-sure from December to May, the vast Mont Blanc region is one of the highest and most extensive in the world. Good skiers will set their sights on Les Grands Montets, where there are thousands of feet of uninterrupted powdery descents through stunning glacial scenery. The Vallée Blanche is also not to be missed, with its 26 off-piste kilometres to be tackled only in the company of a qualified guide. Most intermediate skiers will find this an awesome experience and the holiday’s most memorable highlight.

On piste, plenty of thrills are guaranteed on satisfyingly steep reds and blacks. La Flégère and Le Brévent offer an ideal balance of intermediate cruising, as well as tougher skiing, with some very good off piste and tricky couloirs. There is still more at Le Tour and Les Houches, with wide, flattering pistes, and a scenic range of open and woodland skiing.

For beginners and families, the Savoy slopes provide an ideal starting point, with ample easy blue runs to move onto once you have mastered the basics.

The Mont Blanc area pass covers the added attractions of the Grands Montets above Argentière, the Montenvers railway and ice grotto entrance, the Aiguille du Midi cable-car to access the Vallée Blanche, and a day’s skiing across the Italian border in beautiful Courmayeur.

We have a wide selection of catered chalets on offer in Chamonix, from small chalets that sleeps 6 people upto chalets which can cater for larger groups.  Whether it's ski in / ski out you are looking for or something in the middle town, we'll find it for you.
